Each year hundreds of schools across British Columbia join the Return-It School Contest. The contest is an opportunity for students to take their recycling programs to another level and to have these initiatives recognized. There are amazing success stories coming from elementary, middle, and high schools despite the challenges that 2020 has presented so far.
Our very own Cara Heck, Operations Manager of Columbia Bottle Depot, was one of the proud panel of British Columbia judges that decided on the winners of the contest. A big congratulations to Palsson Elementary School’s Rockin’ Bottle Drive Program and Sir William Van Horne Elementary School’s New Healthy Habits!! Each of these schools received awards of $5,000 and $2,500 respectively for winning the contest this year.
